Introduction
Hello to all, my name is Chris and I am currently a senior at Bowling Green State University. My major is Sport Management with a focus in marketing. I am from Livonia, Michigan which is about thirty minutes west of Detroit. I have been a member of Lambda Chi Alpha every year since I have been on enrolled at BG and am currently the scholarship chair. Being from the Detroit area I am a huge Pistons and Tigers fan, I will cheer for the Lions and the Wings even though I do not care for hockey. From 2003 - 2008 I only missed nine playoff games out of the 117 they played over that span. I do not like to admit it, but during that span I got to see the greatest individual performance in NBA playoff history. Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals. Cleveland fans know what game I am talking about. It was the game when Lebron scored 29 of the last 30 points in regulation and all 25 Cleveland points in overtime. After seeing that performance one would that is the male athlete that I would pay to see, but that would be wrong. The male athlete that I would pay to see is Jozy Altidore an American born soccer player currently with Hull City in England. He is 19 years old and already playing overseas for a club in England something that most American soccer players do not get to experience. The female athlete that I would pay to see would have to be Jennie Finch, because she is one the most dominant pitchers to softball.

Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteI think I have heard of Livonia, MI, perhaps because one or more tennis players are from there. Do you know who that might be? (Aaron Krickstein?) I enjoyed reading your introduction, especially the part about Lebron's performance in the 2007 play-offs:-) I have yet to see him play live so that is one of my goals for the coming season (before he hopefully does not leave Cleveland!). You must be a devoted hockey fan to have been able to see all of those play-off games! I am glad you mentioned the soccer player, and I will be keeping an eye out for him when the US team plays (is he on the US national team?). Since you mentioned a soccer player, did you play soccer? I can also relate to your selection of Jennie Finch, as I have seen some recent games on television, and she is still a dominant pitcher--and not a bad hitter!
I look forward to reading more of your blog entries.
